CARLTON DOTY
Vice President, Group Director Serving Customer Insights Professionals, Forrester® Research
Carlton Doty leads the research organization that serves marketing leadership professionals as well as customer insights professionals. He began his Forrester tenure in 2006 as a senior analyst specializing in digital channels, emerging products, and enterprise technology in healthcare. Later, he was a founding member of Forrester's customer insights practice in 2009. He also led Forrester's consumer product strategy practice, where he managed a team of analysts that focused on innovation and digital disruption. In addition to leading his global research team at Forrester, Carlton posts his thoughts and opinions on Twitter® and on his blog. Prior to joining Forrester, Carlton spent nine years as an IT and eBusiness leader in the health insurance industry. He also has experience with two start-ups and a large marketing services provider. Carlton holds a BS in civil engineering management from the University of Vermont.

Alia McKee is principal at Sea Change Strategies, a boutique research and fundraising strategy consultancy. A noted thought leader, Alia has explored ideas, including behavioral economics in fundraising, how to bridge the philosophical and functional gaps between major gifts and direct marketing by focusing on mid-level donors, and generational attitudes towards philanthropy. Her clients have included National Audubon Society®, The Wikimedia Foundation, Amnesty International USA®, the Monterey Bay Aquarium®, Environmental Defense Fund®, Conservation International®, and the International Rescue Committee®, among others. Alia holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the LBJ School at University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in social work from University of Texas at Austin as well.

Geoff Handy is senior vice president, direct marketing and donor care, for The Humane Society of the United States. He oversees fundraising via direct mail, online, telemarketing, and DRTV, as well as the organization’s in-bound donor services team. Geoff previously led the organization’s online advocacy and fundraising program, which contributed to dozens of major victories for animals and brought in more than $50 million online. Geoff was recognized by Fundraising Success magazine as one of its 2006 “Top Fundraisers Under 40” for his work in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the George Washington University.

Tom Gaffny is the principal of Tom Gaffny Consulting, an agency dedicated to providing breakthrough strategic and creative support for America's best nonprofit organizations. During his career, Tom has received repeated national recognition for his development of high-impact solutions on behalf of his client partners. In his career, he has won 23 ECHO awards—as many as any creative director in the world—for creative excellence from the International Direct Marketing Association and more than 200 creative awards from the New England Direct Marketing Association. Tom has also been recognized by NEDMA as the region's “Direct Marketer of the Year” and has been singled out as “Best Copywriter” a record seven times. He has also been recognized as one of the “Top Men in Fundraising” by Fundraising Success magazine. Prior to beginning his consulting agency, Tom was executive vice president of Epsilon's fundraising division. In this capacity, he led a team of more than 50 marketing professionals, providing consultative fundraising services and support to nearly 200 nonprofit organizations nationally and globally, including many of the largest and most prestigious charities in America.

Roger Craver is, in fact, a disruptor and challenger of the status quo. Roger has conducted capital and annual fundraising campaigns, as well as advocacy and membership drives in the United States, Canada, and throughout Europe, and he has helped launch and build some of the household names in international advocacy—Greenpeace®, World Wildlife Fund®, Habitat for Humanity®, and Amnesty International.

Nationally and internationally recognized as an excellent consultant, executive coach, and presenter, Karen Osborne receives invitations to speak from all over the United States and the world. Chris Paradysz is founder of Paradysz and PM Digital and serves as chief executive officer of PM Digital. Chris founded Paradysz in 1990 and PM Digital in 2001. He is responsible for the strategic leadership and growth of both companies, and under his leadership, Paradysz has grown into a comprehensive media services company with a variety of prominent clients across all major industry sectors. Similarly, PM Digital has become a leading Internet marketing services company for numerous industries, including retail, nonprofit, publishing, B2B, and financial services. In addition to his client work, Chris is an industry leader, demonstrated by his involvement in the Direct Marketing Association®, American Catalog Mailers Association, DMA Nonprofit Federation, List Leaders, and SEMPO. He also serves on the board of the SLE Lupus Foundation and its executive council.
CHUCK LONGFIELD
Senior Vice President and Chief Scientist, Blackbaud
Chuck Longfield became Blackbaud's chief scientist in January 2007 and is the founder of Target Software, Inc. and Target Analysis Group, Inc., now both Blackbaud companies. Chuck has extensive experience designing and implementing national as well as international constituency databases that address the fundraising information needs of many of the world's largest nonprofit organizations. In recognition of his accomplishments, Chuck is the recipient of the DMA 2012 Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award. He was honored by Fundraising Success magazine in 2007 with a lifetime achievement award for his contribution to the nonprofit sector. He holds a BA in mathematics and a MEd from Harvard University and has more than 30 years of experience helping nonprofits improve their fundraising operation.
