Your Customer Success team has developed a best practice checklist to ensure your team is able to focus on getting your solution up and running. Please work through the action items below to prepare for your project.
1. Create a Blackbaud ID
Each solution user will need a Blackbaud ID (BBID) to access Blackbaud.com, the solution, Blackbaud University, and Customer Support. Your initial organization administrator will receive an email invitation prompting them to accept their BBID. They can then invite other admins or users. Learn more about Blackbaud ID.
2. Sign up for Training
Blackbaud University’s mission is to accelerate the success of your organization. You should begin taking the recommended Implementation trainings right away to begin building your skillset in your new solution. These trainings will give you a better understanding of you solution and how to design the system and are critical to your overall success.

3. Prepare Data for Conversion*
The next main priority for your project is to prepare to send a copy of your data to Blackbaud. Your data conversion cannot begin until we have usable data. Project plan timeline and overall implementation progress is dependent on your data submission.
Initial Data Conversion Overview:
Your Business Consultant will review how you submit your data for the conversion.
*Note: This step applies only to Student Management and Enrollment Management.
4. Set up Blackbaud Integrated Payments
Blackbaud Integrated Payments makes payment processing simple, secure, and affordable. Save time with pre-reconciled bank deposited, automatic credit card updates, robust fraud management tools, and reduced PCI compliance.

An Organization Administrator can create your Blackbaud Integrated Payments account using our secure online portal to enter data to provision your account.

*Note: Blackbaud Integrated Payments is the payment processor within the Blackbaud Education Management platform. Blackbaud Payment Services (BBPS) and Blackbaud Merchant Services™ (BBMS) will allow you to charge fees through the application, event registration, or school forms.
5. Complete Workbook(s)
Your Project Team, specifically your Business Consultant, will need to learn as much as possible about your current processes and desired outcomes from your new solution.
Please complete the applicable workbook(s) for your upcoming implementation project. You will submit the workbook(s) directly to your Project Team when requested.
