The How-to Guide: Evaluate the Value-of-Investment for your Student Management System
Some impacts are more difficult to quantify but no less valuable. Increased productivity. Better security. Higher user satisfaction. Increased access to information when needed. Better communication and collaboration. Blackbaud partnered with Education Collaborators to develop an in depth guide designed to help school leaders consider some benefits and issues in considering an integrated and comprehensive data solution versus a disconnected or best-of-breed solution. The bottom-line ROI is important. But in a large purchase like a total school management system, the VOI is the differentiator. This guide will discuss some of the VOI areas that should be considered in comparing options, such as: Return on Investment; Missional Proof; Data; Productivity; and Security.
Evolving Tech-Expectations of Today's Private School Families
One constant throughout these uncertain times of the pandemic is rapid increase of digital transformation and the evolving use of technology across K-12 private schools. We’ve gathered 3 private school leaders to share their insight on the biggest changes they’ve seen over the last 18 months when it comes to technology and how it’s being used in education. We’ll also share data from our recent parent survey unveiling parent perceptions and priorities as they relate to tech-expectations among families and what they expect from their private schools in the future.
Transitioning to Competency-based Education (CBE)
In a recent survey of K–12 private school parents, 60% said they are interested in Competency-Based Education (CBE), which is significantly higher than 2020 responses. While CBE is becoming more popular, many schools still struggle with taking the first step and finding the right software to help make the transition.
Join us to hear from Thaden School's Dean of Faculty, Jessica Bonnem and Data Systems Manager, Sarah Singleton to learn how they made these initial decisions, got faculty buy-in, and how they communicated these changes to their families.
