Blackbaud ID (BBID) Authentication

Q: Why is my solution being moved to the public cloud and how will I benefit?

A: Blackbaud's Cloud Operations includes innovative, modern public cloud infrastructure enabling heightened security, reliability, performance and more—all benefits that will help drive collaboration efforts throughout your organization. Your Blackbaud eTapestry data will reside within your region in the public cloud.

For you to take full advantage of the benefits of Blackbaud's new modern cloud operations model, we will be relocating your eTapestry solution to Microsoft® Azure.

Q: When will my relocation occur and what is the impact?

A: Relocation to the public cloud environment will occur during the regular maintenance window for your region on the date in your notification. The downtime during your relocation only impacts your eTapestry solution, not any other Blackbaud solutions or constituent facing pages.

Q: Will there be any disruption in service?

A: During the relocation, users will not be able to log in or access your Blackbaud eTapestry solution. To limit operational disruption, your relocation will occur outside of daily business hours during your regular maintenance window. Please follow the action steps per your specific set up to avoid any disruption in service after your relocation.

Q: What actions do I need to take before my solution is moved to the public cloud?

A: You do not need to take any action.

Q: What actions do I need to take post-relocation?

A: Please make sure after your relocation is complete to log into your solution and contact support if you have any issues.

Q: How will I know when the relocation is completed?

A: We will send an email to confirm your relocation is successfully complete. If you wish to notify any additional users beyond those listed in the email you receive, please forward to those individuals.

In the unlikely event you receive an email notification about the relocation not completing successfully, you can continue to use your Blackbaud eTapestry solution as you did before. We will reschedule your relocation, and you will receive another notice alerting you to your rescheduled relocation timing.

Q: Is there any cost associated with relocating to the public cloud?

A: There is no additional cost to your organization with relocating to Blackbaud’s Microsoft Azure environment.
